Together we can change the world
Building the Future
Health Care
For Everyone
As you can also read in our construction plan, we want to be as flexible as possible. In terms of construction, this means that we have opted for modular construction. This has the great advantage that we can allocate a separate building to each medical service.
Once it has been proven that a medical service functions properly, this offers an excellent opportunity to copy it directly to another village. With any service that is required where necessary. We simply do not build what is not desired. It’s that simple.
For example, a village may already have a good pharmacy or a dentist. So we can omit that. Moreover, the project is not at all intended to make other Gambians jobless. On the contrary !
Our 4 essential key factors
health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis and treatment, and rehabilitation.

Diagnostic Laboratory Services
In the clinical decision-making process a high-quality laboratory is an absolute must have. To ensure the quality, reliability and accuracy of results generated by the laboratory, it needs internationally validated and approved methods. In addition, the staff strictly adhere to these standard operating procedures, performs daily quality controls, and periodic calibration and maintenance on all the equipment.
The laboratory must offer a 24/7 service with a quick turnaround time for both in-patients and out patients. And also must offer a wide range of laboratory services in clinical chemistry, Immunochemistry, Haematology, Serology and Microbiology.
Our lab must be equipped with the latest automated diagnostic tools manned by highly experienced staff with up to date competencies. Diagnostic laboratories are often the most cost effective, sometimes less invasive way of diagnosing and treating a patient which guides medical practitioners in their clinical decision-making process.

Out-Patient Consultation
An out-patient appointment is a face to face consultation with a named physician or specialist. Upon arrival to the clinic, patients will be triaged by experienced nurses in order to find the best doctor based on their clinical condition. The healthcare team will discuss the expected course of treatment in line with the diagnosis. The medical practitioner will give an idea about what will happen and how care will be delivered. To promote shared decision making with our patients is very important so they have a good understanding of their care to meet their ideas, concerns and expectations.
A home care service can also be an option if the patient can stay home to recover. Therefore, a professional nurse, tools or medications need to be available and included in our out-patient counselling.
Pharmacy & Dispensary
The requirements and conditions that the pharmacy must meet, must have the same high quality that are set for the clinic itself. Medicines save many lives and cure many illnesses.
In practice, this means that the stock must be excluded by a control system from the many fake medicines that are circulating in Africa and that our computer stock system must have an “always available formula” so that we do not have to leave sick humans empty-handed. send. And certainly not those who could end up in a life-threatening situation as a result.
It is also an absolute requirement that our pharmacy department consists of highly qualified pharmacists who can work in parallel to our doctors to ensure patients are administered the correct medication at safe doses with known side effects.
Our pharmacy services must provide in-patient and out-patient dispensary services, compounding facilities, drug information services, to give prescribed medications to other hospitals and must be able to make home deliveries if needed. All in a timely manner.

Radiology Service
An essential medical service in the clinic is radiology. Radiology is an imaging technique – better known as digital X-rays and Ultrasound Scans – to diagnose and treat diseases in the body. This equipment must be operated by a trained sonographer who works closely with the doctors.
Radiology is a fast and reliable technique to give the doctors quickly a feedback about their patients and can be used to image soft tissues, abdominal/pelvic ultrasounds and transvaginal ultrasounds. These imaging techniques can also be used for invasive procedures such as corticosteroid injections to relieve pain amongst others.
